I realized I had forgotten to bring the computer cable for my phone, which is a pretty stupid move considering that I wanted to take loads of pictures and blog on it. Can't even upload my pictures. :( So I have two options:
1) Write logs on my computer, and post all of them, complete with pictures, all at once when I get back
2) Get a camera, and continue to blog
And, I've decided to go with option 2. :D So I'm gonna get a cam next week, and start blogging again cuz there's some stuff I wanted to blog about.
Anyways, the trip so far, it's been really good. Went to Oosh at dempsey with leana and the crew on Friday, and it was pretty chill. We got the VIP table which was huge. The only thing was that they initially refused to serve us water, unless we order a bottle of wine or something, which was pretty blah. All in all tho, the spa-inspired bar was pretty sweet. Might go back again, but this time, I'm gonna bring a huge bottle of mineral water. Ha.
I've been spending a lot of time with my sister and my cousin, who's heading back to Melbourne after Xmas. That boy, he's only 17 and is already a heartbreaker. Stayed over at my place last night cuz we went out for suppa, and he was showing me various girls on facebook that he had relations to. What sorta relations, I'm not entirely sure, but well, I'm pretty proud of him still. Never hurts to have attractive relatives. Heh heh. Will post the picture up when I get back to San D.
Gonna brave the crowds and go Xmas shopping tomorrow in town. Not looking forward to it at all. Maybe I can spray on some odor that will deter everyone from me. Ha.

First thoughts of Singapore
Hey guys,
Sorry for the lack of posting. In the past three days, I've been
1) on the plane for the whole of the first day
2) shopping with my younger sister the second day
3) hanging out with my sisters and cousin (back from Aussie) today
Besides, I've fallen prey to the vicious flu bug, so I've been pretty blah. Been trying to ignore it and go out, but I suspect it's not the way to get better.
Anyways, first thoughts of Singapore... food is still good, but somehow not as good as I remember it to be. Maybe things really taste better in your memory... or maybe the flu affected my sense of taste. Regardless, I'll find out when I get better. Heh.
Stupid ole me had forgotten to bring the cable for my phone, so I'll have to post the pictures only when I get home to San Diego. Been trying to take pictures of the food I'm eating, and it might be too cruel to post it the instance I get back to San Diego, since the food will be a few thousand miles away from me. We'll see.
Everything seems to lose its familiarity to me, it's kinda sad. In a way, I feel like I'm looking down at myself going through all the motions of everyday life, and not relating to it on a personal level.
Despite all these, my family still feels real, and it still feels as good to be around them as I remember. :) At least, some things don't change.
This time round, I want to devote more time to my family, just because everytime I get back, I spend my time hanging out with everybody else, yet when I'm back in San D, the people I miss most are my family.
Alrighty, will write more when I have more exciting updates. Will go for more chicken rice tomorrow. Heh heh. :D

Take me away
I need to get out of here.
So much negativity in the past few days, leaving me lost and confused.
What should I do? What should I say? What am I supposed to think?
I know this sounds very cryptic, but bear with me... I just needed to say this out somehow.
Maybe getting out of San Diego will do me some good.
Back to the warmth of my family.
Back to the comfort of my friends.
Back to where I started.
Have to head to bed, will update when I'm in a more upbeat mood.

I poisoned myself.
Man, it's only 1 pm and I can feel the day becoming crappy already. Recently, I've been losing stuff. Two days ago, I lose my DKNY watch. It wasn't that costly, but I've had it for a while already, and it's more sentimental than anything else. And this morning, I can't find my concealer. Seems like my bags are swallowing my stuff up. WTH. Sigh.
And I'm still feeling nauseous cuz I ate some rotten eggs yesterday. Why am I eating rotten eggs, you might ask. Well, I bought eggs a week ago, and accidentally dropped them on the way home. So 5 of them broke, and I had to chuck those. When I was cooking an omelette yday, I realized two more were cracked, but I was so indignant that I cooked them anyways. Ahem. Anyways, not feeling good. Can't believe I poisoned myself.
Anyways, I was talking to Nick on gchat, and it occurred to me that guys are getting better at picking girls up. I've realized this phenomenon too... recently, guys who ask for my number call IMMEDIATELY after I told them my number, to make sure I didn't give them a fake one. So I had to give my new one. Sigh. No more giving my enemy's number out anymore.
"You don't have to give if you're not interested", I can hear some of you saying, but well it gets really awkward. I think the best way out is to give the number out, and then avoid the calls and text msges. Which I've been doing these days, which is pretty taxing, though the voicemails they leave are pretty entertaining.
Anyway, I was in a charitable mood yesterday, so when I got one of the voicemails, I decided to call and tell him I'm going out of town for a while (which I am!). That way, I can drop him easy, and he wun feel that bad about himself! He had bad reception, and said he'll call me after. He ended up calling me at 2 am. WTF. Sometimes, it doesn't pay to be kind.
There was a phase I went through, when I'll drop them all with various excuses. Recently, I can't be arsed anymore. Maybe I should get back to it, since I can feel my negative karma accumulating as each day passes.
So guys, great job. You've avoided the common trick of giving nonsensical numbers, but hey now, you can't really force us to pick up your call if we really don't want to. So be nice, get the hint, and buzz off if we're not interested. You'll gain more respect that way.

Chocolatte curtains!
Bought new curtains for my room today! Was sick of the morning sun waking me up every morning, so I went to the store to get the thickest curtains I could lay my hands on. Ended up getting a chocolate satin one, double-layered for extra blockage. Now it's sitting pretty in my room!
Other than that, nothing very much. Had brunch at Brockton Villa at downtown La Jolla. I had the Eggs Ipanema - poached eggs on tomato slices on an english muffin, topped with a tomato coconut sauce. It was heavenly!

Woot! Yup, that's about it for my update. :)

Victoria's Secret Runway show
Recently, my much anticipated annual Victoria's Secret runway show was aired on CBS! For those of you not familiar with this, Victoria's Secret has an annual runway show showcasing the trends for the next year, and well it consists of hot models (and I'm saying haaawt!) parading in teeny weeny costumy lingerie. Seriously, if I have, say a clothing manufacturing company in China, I will probably come up with copies of these costumes and export them to the states to be sold as Halloween costumes. So hawt! Also, it was pretty funny seeing a reprise of the Spice Girls. Funny because Victoria Beckham has the you-girls-are-so-lame look on her face the whole time, which I can't really blame her because 1) Mel C, Geri, and Emma had dropped from the face of the earth these 6 years 2) Mel B is shamelessly fighting for getting her money from Eddie Murphy. And she? She only got married to the cutest, and probably richest football player, has the exclusive 5 million limit credit card from Neiman Marcus, and is living in the lap of luxury. Who would have known that from 6 years back?
Anyways, pictures from the show. I am in love with the hottest model! She is so hot, she's like a walking wet dream! Behold..
Man, her body is to die for. I really don't know how models get their flat abs. HOW DO THEY ACHIEVE THAT? Do they even work out?? Seems like most of the models are Brazilian. Dear God, if I ever have an afterlife, I want to be born a Brazilian. Life is sooooo unfair.
This girl is the new model of the year. Again the flat abs, but I think her face is a little too chubby to be a VS model. This is a good picture of her, but well if you see her on tv, it's pretty fat. Oh well.
The necessary blond model.
This girl is pretty hot too. Very high cheekbones, I like!
Adriana Lima. She's also pretty hot. I think I like the models with the intense gaze, you know, light eyes against dark skin. I want ice-blue eyes too!
Anyways, that's the end of my pictures. If you can download it, I highly recommend it. A very entertaining one hour. Heh.

Two weeks to Motherland!
Heading back to Singapore two weeks exactly from now. I'm soooo excited! A lot of my friends are heading back too, so we can all meet up! Lemme make a list...
1) Moots from San Fran
2) Nick from New York
3) Lier from Edinburgh
4) Leana from Aussie
5) My beloved younger cousin from Aussie! (haven't seen him in 2 and a half years, and my mum says he's now taller than me, twice my size, and have grown a moustache AND pigtail. Jeepers.)
6) Nicole from ILLINOIS
7) Wenqi from San Fran
and some others, who have slipped my mind at the moment. Ahem.
Anywhoo, I'm counting down to the day... the day when my dreams are dreams no more, and I will FINALLY be able to tuck into steaming hot chicken rice! And I can hug my sister and mum instead of virtual hugs. Ah, it's been 5ish months, but it felt like an eternity. My older sister has deemed me as her personal shopper. Last year, she made me buy back around 12 coach bags for her, and this year, it's victoria's secret lingerie. -__- Just received an email from her asking for a CD she can't find in Singapore. And you would imagine that shopping in Singapore should be better! Grr.
I've came to the conclusion that Asian and African American guys have one thing in common - it's close to impossible to find one good looking dude, but if you stumble upon one, he's helluva cute. Like Tyson Beckford. Or one of those Taiwanese pop stars. Honestly, I would rather not have this vast inconsistency in the standard, and just have all slightly above average looking guys. I don't know if this is true anywhere else, but it's certainly true in California.
Just watched Enchanted, the movie. Renee and I both got reduced to putty at the end. I think we got enough sappy-ness to last a lifetime or two. It's one of those movies that we walk out and lament for the next 15 min about our dire situation regarding the lurrvee issue. It's a pretty good movie though, I have to say.
Anyways, gonna watch heroes on tv, tinker on the piano for a little bit, and then to bed. Later.
