I had a thought this morning. I wonder what it was like, when humans was merely a new branch of the evolutionary tree of apes. A world without money, without preconceived moral values and concepts. A world where we were just another species of animals on this Earth we live in. We like to think that we're superior to other animals, but is this necessarily constructive and fulfilling in terms of general happiness? We thrive in a world where money and success are keys to general fulfillment, but really, how important is it? We are brought up in a world guided by rules and values - to work towards getting a good education, getting a good job, a good mate, and to live a moral life. But how important are all these things? Are they basic instincts, or just something that we carry onto future generations in order to live in this world that we created?
At the end of the day, when you're steps away from your grave, how important really, is money, or all the branded bags you have, or sports cars you've always desired? What are morals, really? We brand incest, and murder, and theft as immoral, but what are morals really, other than a way to ensure order in the society we live in? It is perfectly normal for other animal species to commit incest, to steal food from each other to survive, to kill each other if need be, hence the concept of "survival of the fittest". These are all basic instincts, for us to propagate, for evolution to carry on selecting for the fittest. Who are we to go against this, to imprison one another with all these regulations and rules?
If we revert back to an age where everything was simple, where money didn't exist, and everything was fair game, will we be happier? I see a world today where most people are unhappy and stressed, where everyone is so busy fighting and struggling for fame, money and success that they forget how pleasant it is to just...live. To be able to breathe in the scent of stargazers, to be able to feel the sea breeze on your skin, to be able to kiss your loved ones. And if you think about it, what plans does our creater have for us when we were created. Are we born in this world to go on this endless pursuit of money? Or to just...live?

perhaps, i give my perspectives on the various issues that you have brought up.
morals -incest and homosexuality could have been branded as unnatural by many. they claim that it is against the act of nature, but their ignorance has betrayed them, these are widely practiced in the animal kingdom, so why is this unnatural at all? it is true that human play by a different set of rules when it comes to rules, regulations and morality. if you admit that humans are more evolved, den you must admit that we must be govern by a more complex set of rules, for the smart-asses in some of us will surely find some ways to circumvent these rules and therefore the complexities. the question in hand isn't to simplify these rules, but to balance the spectrum of freedom and draconianism. you may be trotting on the streets with your gstring highly strung ard your crotch while the islamic women are swimming in their ninja-like suits. love doing tagging in facebooks? doubt you can do that with a muslim women group photo.
money - the age old qn, can money buy u happiness? human are quantitative by nature. happiness? intangible. fulfillment? intangible. love? intangible. wealth? money measured in a myriad of different currencies with its own forex market to boot. so now that we have established that base scientific measurement system, its easy to wanna use this to go measure all that is intangible. How happy are you? I'm 2 million dollars in my fixed deposit happy. Are you fulfilled? I have 2 marina sails penthouse worth 5 million so I'm guessing fulfillment is too understated a word for my status. Do you feel the love? I've got a trophy wife, who makes bird nest for me every morning, i dun really know whether the beverage is there in the morning due to TLC or future prospecting of a huge alimony but i'm guessing as long as i have something to soothe my throat, it doesnt really matter.
U think your man/ger is good. but that's only your opinion. human are social creatures. We CARE what others think, no matter how rebel u think you are. U like yr man who continually improves himself, not stagnant. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water mind you. again, how to we measure improvement? money as a measuring unit comes into play.
Life is about moderation. its not about choosing to be in the white or blank, but striving in the grey. it's abt simplifying complexities, and not complicating simplicities. You're a pauper, get off your ass and go earn some money. You're rich, learn to let go of work and go on a vacation with your gf. Once you've attained that balance, you WILL know that you genuinely am happy

I can bet with u that a religious person.. A monk or priest etc.. would be more satisfied with life rather than a banker, director etc..
We(including me) do not know what it takes to be really happy cuz we are blinded by something called Materialism..
